Important Notes for swift transfers through CBK:

• Transfers made to local banks after 12PM will be processed the next business day
• Transfers made to international banks for amounts less than KD25000/- or equivalent in foreign currencies will be transferred in the same day.
• Transfers made to international banks after 3:30pm for amounts greater than KD25000/- or equivalent in foreign currencies will be transferred in the next business day.
• Swift charges for International banks are KD 3/-
• Correspondent & beneficiary banks may apply additional processing fees from the transferred amount
• If beneficiary bank SWIFT code was not provided, an additional fee of EUR 6/- will be debited from customer’s account
• Customer must mention the purpose of payment before making the transfer
• The Bank may return a transferred amount to the customer’s account in case the Bank does not receive the required information within 3 working days or if the Bank is unable to reach the customer by phone or email.
• In case of a foreign currency transfer, the Bank shall not be responsible or liable for any difference between the amount returned to the customer’s account as a result of fluctuations in foreign exchange rate between the date of transfer and the date such funds are returned to the customer.
• The customer may not reclaim any remittance fees charged by the Bank for processing the initial transfer.
• In no case will the Bank be responsible for any damages or liability in connection with refunding such amounts to the customer.
